CarbonPod partners with biochar producers to check whether the operation can create credible credits, then builds the project around the biomass, production process, product quality, end use, records, independent review, and buyers. Residue in: crop residue and agri-processing waste that would otherwise be burned or left to rot. Outcome: carbon locked in stable form, returned to soil or used in industry.

Under the current VM0044 v1.2, applicability includes waste biomass converted at new biochar production facilities, with eligible soil and non-soil end uses and an investment analysis for additionality. No automatic credits. A product or facility is not itself a carbon credit. Independent reviewers and the chosen registry must approve the project and its results before credits can be issued.
